FINAL THOUGHTS AND REVIEWS:
I found the relationship between Addie and Mr. Bennett really weird and uncomfortable — like obviously wrong, but also just hard to read at times. I was honestly shocked at how Mrs. Bennett survived two attempts on her life. And the part where she mentions being buried alive actually creeped me out a bit. The ending, especially the reveal about who Jay really was, was pretty surprising. I didn’t fully expect that. Overall, the book felt like a roller coaster — a bit chaotic at times, but still interesting and kept me reading.
