sippin' on victory
College holidays are on, and today Pops and I went to pick up my report card — I scored above distinction!
This might not seem like a big deal to some people, but I finally beat my sister’s score — and boy, was I happy. For years, she always scored higher than me while I was just trying to catch up. But this time? I scored 78%. Not 100, sure, but for me? That’s a win.
To celebrate pops and I went on a little coffee break – just the two of us. We found this fancy coffee shop where they served this amazing Mango 🥭 Lemonade 🍋 Boba (honestly I don’t understand what the big hype was about- it was just jellies) It was quite refreshing after walking in the hot sun ☀️ tho. Pops didn’t want to buy anything (he’s in full-on save money mode), so we shared my drink. We sat there talking about college, life and random thoughts 💭. It was nice considering how rare those moments are- just us, chillin’, no drama. Just… Being.
As we were leaving, the waitress smiled at me and said, “Bye! Thank you!” I thanked her too (because of their great service), and it felt really sweet. It reminded me that people can be genuinely kind, which made me smile 😊.
In the afternoon I continued watching this Korean show ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ and I was crying 😭 again. It’s such a good show, would totally recommend it to you guys.
The evening 🌆 was cloudy. Georgia, Caroline and I went to play badminton 🏸 and while we were talking there a sudden gust of wind 🍃 – branches of trees hit the ground and there was dust everywhere! We took shelter and boy, were we scared 😳. Caroline freaked and thought war was going to break out. I thought it was either gonna rain 🌧️ or be the end of the world 🌍. We got home right when the light rain began.
It would be pretty cool if it rained on my birthday (since that never happened) Caroline thinks the war is going to start on our birthday. Twins with different mind sets. Amazing huh? On that note, I’m signing off for today. Goodbye folks 🤝
