positive imaging
AUTHOR: Norman Vincent Peale
WHY I PICKED IT: My mom suggested me to read the book and since holidays were on, I thought I’d give it a go.
INSPIRING QUOTES:
“When you want to achieve something, hold in your mind the picture of yourself achieving it. Paint in all the details. Make it as real has you possibly can and remember this too: you’re never defeated by anything until you accept in your mind the thought that you are defeated. You are never defeated until you accept the image of defeat.”
“As you see yourself, so you are.”
“… Knowing that there is nothing in life to be afraid of, so long as we trust God.”
“The moral seems clear: When you put an apparently unsolvable problem into the spiritual dimension by praying about it, watch out- because things are going to start happening! Good things. Abundant things. What you image can really happen.”
FINAL THOUGHTS: The author shows how positive imaging can change our lives. It tells real-life stories of people who tried it and found success. What struck me reading these stories were how they were relatable: They talk about everyday stuff like marriage, financial problems etc, which people face everyday. It also mentions beautiful Bible quotes that I found quite inspiring. I’m definitely going to try out positive imaging and see how it goes in my own life. Would recommend it to anyone needing a bit of self-confidence or help settling goals.
