granny gone wild
It’s like our grandma’s life goal is to get rid of us. She keeps asking mum “When does their (Caroline and I) college start?” She probably doesn’t want us to see how she spends her day.
To those of y’all who don’t know, my grandma is not an ordinary grandma who bakes cookies 🍪 for their grandchildren. She’s the exact opposite – She expects everyone else to do things for her. She judges everyone and complains about EVERYTHING. Like she just HAS to live a rich and comfortable life.
She even stares at people. A LOT. It’s worse when you’re trying to peacefully enjoy your food and she’s just there-staring at you. Sometimes when we binge watch I just take some couch 🛋️ cushions and block her view. THEN I can peacefully enjoy.
When she’s on a call with some relative she talks so loud like everyone in the house can hear. And she laughs at the most unnecessary things. Once she was talking to my mom and here’s a rough translation (they speak in malayalam so):
Ammachi: “So after walking, I sat for a while and without noticing, I fell asleep.AHAHAHHAHAHAHA.”
Mom: “AHAHAHHA.”
WHAT THE HECK IS FUNNY IN THIS? I got so fed up I told Caroline the next time they laugh we should fake laugh too. It would be like that scene from The Big Bang Theory when Bernadette does that fake laugh. That was HILARIOUS.
On the side note, college is supposed to start in a couple of days. Am I look forward to it? Hmmm I don’t know honestly. Here’s why:
- They increased the bus fair and now it’s double. Since it’s Caroline and me, we gotta spend like 50 bucks each day just to go to college.
Yes, we can bunk but this is a crucial year where attendance is compulsory. We can’t even travel by train cause we have to travel somewhere and switch stations and walk a lot. Bus is just simpler.
- I don’t like staying in the house much. I just prefer being out and atleast I’ll be busy & stuff.
So yeah, college is starting soon. Am I ready? Not really. Am I excited to escape this house? Absolutely. Let’s see how that goes.
