from the bus window

Today was a nice day.

In the morning, while I was studying, I saw a squirrel 🐿️ in the tree, some sparrows 🐦 chirping, and beautiful sunlight filtering through the leaves.

We had a long day at college. During IT, Zee and I were working on some code. There was a tag that was supposed to be meta name="(your name)", but Zee mistyped it as "meat tag" and didn’t notice. Everyone in the room was typing, and light chatter filled the air. I started laughing and pointed out Zee’s mistake—she laughed too. I laughed so hard that tears came out. It was such a funny moment. It’s been a long time since I laughed that hard, lol.

While I was waiting for the bus, an auntie approached me and asked what time the bus would arrive. I told her the timing. When the bus came, she sat down and called me over to sit next to her. Another lady was already heading toward that seat, so I just smiled and said, “It’s alright, I’ll stand.” It was crowded anyway. Just another sweet little moment in the day.

It then started raining. The water looked so beautiful cascading down the window 🪟, and with the AC on, it gave off such a cozy vibe. And just as I got off at my stop, the rain stopped and the evening sun beamed onto my face. It felt really good.

I’ve been swamped ever since college started—so many lectures, assignments, and studies. I barely get a moment to pause. I actually like being busy; it makes me feel productive, but yeah… it can be exhausting sometimes.

A random day before, I was sitting alone and, on different occasions, three different people came up and started talking to me. One of them complimented me, saying I looked really fit and feminine that day (I had left my waves down). I love getting compliments—especially when I’m feeling a bit gloomy. It just gives me a boost of confidence and lifts my mood 🙂. Another girl and I bonded over books we’d both read. And the third person needed help with coding—she was a bit lost, so I helped her out, and we ended up becoming friends.

Alright, that's that. Byeeeee!
