#1st vodka drink

Recently I went to a party hosted by a rich dude from church where I had my first Vodka drink 🍷. Well it was mixed with like 70% Cranberry juice. It tasted good. My drink was ice cold but once I swallowed it, there was a nice warm sensation in the back of my throat.

I was forced to hangout with the ‘Youth’ of our church. They consists of people who are either working/married/young parents- aged around 25-35 years. THEY are called the ‘youth’. Meanwhile, I’m just there… trying to blend in. It was alright, but I wish Caroline was there. We always have the best convos, but she couldn’t make it — caught a fever 🤧.

People kept trying to get me to dance (no thank you). I know I look awkward when I do, probably because I don’t have the skills for it.

I enjoyed the food- They served gulab jamun (gj’s) – my favourite Indian sweet for dessert!

At the end, the hosts told me to be ‘more open’ and to socialize more. Pinki Aunty (aka host’s wife) was like “Do you act like this around your friends too?” I wanted to say yes but I just replied “Sometimes, yes” Even Ammachi told some other granny how I don’t talk to others. Classic.

Well for starters: 1) NOBODY there was in or around my age group. I wasn’t trying to be antisocial; I just didn’t relate. 2) So what if I’m not great at socializing? Not everyone needs to be the life of the party. Some of us just vibe quietly & I enjoy my own company. But all that aside — the food was good, the vibes weren’t terrible, and I survived the night. So, I guess that’s a win.

Oh and apparently war has started. Let’s pray for peace 🙏 🕊️
